Birthday Pocket Wallet Card

Today is the 15th birthday of my friend's lovely daughter Alicia so I made this special card for her.
Happy Birthday Alicia!!
It is a modification of a tiny pocket wallet card I did some years ago, in a class tutored by my friend Gill, but I made this bigger from 12 x 12 scrapbook card. Because I didn't have much time to make it, I used printed images to decorate. I sprayed with Color Washes and Glimmer Mists over sequin waste and hessian weave before stamping with my favourite swirl from stampattack in Distress Ink. The lace around the cut out circle on the left is from my wedding dress so will be 44 years old very soon!
Addendum
People have asked how I can bear to use the lace....it was all round the edge of a long train so there was plenty. I kept the dress for some years then made dressing up outfits for my daughters so I unpicked the lace and kept it. I still have quite a bit but it's good to use it and share as it is then put to good use. I will make sure I keep some for my daughters and grandees though and not use it all.
The purple vellum is beautifully iridescent but doesn't show as such in the photo.
There are two purple tags inserted and also, in the third page, a vellum envelope, ideal to hold a hidden gift or private message.
To make the little dangly "dodads" at the ends of the ribbons....
Punch out a small disc,
fold it into half then half again,
push the ribbon through a central hole,
apply adhesive to the underside of the disc,
push each quarter segment of the disc into the centre and press to adhere.

Lovely, Jo. I bet she's thrilled. Can't imagine how you can use your wedding day lace, though - what a treasure!

Hi Jo
What a gorgeous gift. but I'm with the others, how could you bear to use your Wedding dress!!!
I love the colours, my favourites and spritzing through the sequin waste gives such a lovely effect doesn't it. Another technique to try!!
Hope the invalid is still recovering well.
Hugs Lisax
