Stars, Halloween & Pink Card

I've been making up for lost time and getting a few loose ends tied up but I've also found some time to play around with Christmas decorations... well it is November tomorrow!
This star is made from mount board, coloured with Distress Stains, stamped with PaperArtsy Christmas script, clear embossed and before the embossing set I threw on some mini star sequins and accent beads. A tassel of beads finishes it off, all so easy and so simple.
Halloween and the Trick or Treaters will be round later and after last year's greedy grabbing from my basket, when one little ghoul tried to grab the lot for himself and his brothers soon tried to join in, I decided to make individual goodie bags to give out. Morrisons Supermarket provided a bag full of crawlies and skeletons for just £1.
Vicky Stampers decided, well our lovely Neet thought up the idea, to have a swap and as it's Breast Cancer Awareness month the theme was "Pink" and here's the fun card I received from Jeannie. You may just note the Breast Cancer ribbon symbol on the cup cake maid's apron! Thanks so much Jeannie.
I forgot to photograph mine after it had waited in the hall for a week to be posted but I made a card with pink cowboy boots with the quote "Give Cancer the Boot"
I've just finished and posted this red cardigan off to a special little new schoolgirl in Brighton... hope it fits and hope she likes it. She asked for a replacement in red of her favourite blue one that she had grown out of so now that one has been passed on to her little sister. The needles are sparking again as there is so much to make to keep the three of them cosy for Winter. Funny how I've been "off" knitting for months and now I pick it up every spare moment. It can be a frustration or relaxation!
Still waiting for Carola Bartz to get in touch and also Cardarian. Please email me ladies so I can get parcels off to each of you soon.

Wonderful glittery star - all decked out in my favourite colours. I can envisage that Christmas is very colourful in your house when you decorate for the season :) And how wonderfully tolerant you are of the trick or treaters :) more so than I am. Have a fun evening. Pxx

Love the star Jo. A brill idea although I'm afraid I've become a bit of a bah humbug and don't do decorations anymore. Especially as we'll be away this year, x

Hmmmm November.... absolutely MUST get cracking on Christmas cards... will be hard this year obviously but am not going to give in and buy them... far too many Christmas stamps in my drawers (as it were!) to do that!! Love your star and the little cardi...

Gorgeous star, Jo - bet it's beautiful in the flesh. My fave colours, too! Lovely jacket - bet the girls are so grateful for your lovely creations. This time of year is definitely knitting time. Great idea re the T or T sweeties, too. We don't see/hear much round here but I believe there's a lot of celebrating in Liverpool x

Lovely Star Jo. No Trick or Treaters up with us unless you count the dog and the chickens!! LOL!
Know what you mean about the knitting - it must be at least 18 years since I last knitted and I cannot put this piece down!

Really love the red cardie Jo and esp love the gorgeous buttons. I've been really busy over the weekend cutting out 2 ABC bags and a Noah's ark a special friend gave us :-) still got to get the zips, foam and lining fabrics but I will get there :-)
Hugs,
A x

Fabulous star Jo, it will look beautiful hung on the tree.

Fab idea to make individual packages, some kids are just so greedy, don't leave anything for anyone else!!!

Hope you're all keeping okay, haven't heard from you for a while, but then I've been busy with work and college so haven't had much time for anything else.

Take care - Sam xxx

I adore that Star Decoration ...I could see a tree covered in them for a wow factor.
Hope your Halloween went well. xx
