WOYWW 180

Here's the last leg, or perhaps I should say wing, of my host of angels for my swap.
Shown on my desk for the weekly dose of WOYWW... a real tonic prescribed for crafters and snoopers by dear Dr Julia  to cheer us up each week.
Here they are, all 16 ready and waiting to wing their flight o'er all the Earth. I've purposely taken a poor photo so they aren't too clear but no one in the swap will know which one they will draw/receive.
Most swappers are making two and I will announce the draw of where to send No2  as soon as the last couple of people email me with addresses and let me know if they will be making 1 or 2.

Now that Caro has safely received her Box of Bits & Bobs Blog Candy prize, I can show the bag bling gift I made for her and sent along with her little parcel. The 2 sides were stamped onto card, coloured,  then stuck together and sandwiched between two clear "Fragments"using Glossy Accents as the adhesive. I also laid a couple of double strands of fishing line through the middle, making a loop at the top and leaving long ends onto which beads and charms were threaded to dangle on the bottom.
The edges can be coloured with Krylon metallic pen but I attached adhesive metal tape to mine.
This is a nice, quick and easy, useful gift to make... have a go!
The face stamp was a freebie in Craft Stamper a while ago and the quote is from a plate of small Tim Holtz clear stamps.
What a short post for me!! There's more to come maybe tomorrow!

LOVE those angels! I was doing a ridiculous happy dance yesterday when your parcel finally arrived. Thank you so much, I could not believe how much was in there. Everything is fantastic, but your handmade gift? That is truly a piece of art that I am going to wear with so much pride. I can just imagine my friends asking 'Oooh! that is amazing! Where did you get it?" Can't wait to tell them with a smug smile that it was my friend from England that made it for me. LOL I feel so grand thinking 'my friend from England', but I feel like we really are friends. Thank you so much for your comment on my blog too. I really needed some good thoughts and prayers that day.

I ADORE the bag bling!! Just like I love the one that is currently adorning my handbag now.
Sorry if I've shown too much detail of my angel construction today, always putting my size 8s in it....sigh....ah well...

And I loved the photos from the lino print workshop - they are stunning. I always hated doing that at school but it's moved on a bit since then. Your dragonflies are gorgeous!

You've been so busy Jo! Wow those angels are fab. And your charms are stunning. No desk from me today, am sorting my stash and packing ready for another crafty meet. This time I'm meeting up with my fellow Crafty Boots DT on Saturday, but me and my friend Debs are making a weekend of it, going Friday coming home Sunday. Much more agreeable for me, health-wise, as I can rest up Friday evening ahead of the crafty day Saturday. But I wanted to pop by and say hello anyway and of course have a nose at your desk!! Take care Zo xx

Oh Jo you are like those fast forward films - one day you show these "naked" angels next day they are colored and all dressed up - you are supercraftwomen! I just love your enthusiasm I hope some of it rubs off on me! The bag bling is lovely too and using that fishing line is an idea that should be patented! Clever clogs!
Lots of hugs and love

How you have time to make all those angles is beyond me - you are a human dynamo Jo. Hope you had a good day - I have been having problems with the internet so am playing catch up.
Great angels, great bling.

Hello Jo,
Looked at LLJ's angellic beginnings this morning and I think it's just as well that we don't know what they look like. Otherwise there would never be such creative ideas put into the world of art about how they appear. Love your angels, the sturdiness of them and really beautiful colours. I'm looking forward to seeing the results of the swap.
I'm enjoying my bag bling, and slowly filling the little ATC folder which I love.

You have been a very busy angel maker I see. Shouldn't think they can be made quickly as they look quite detailed. I have contemplated doing angels as one of my choc bar covers but never seem to be able to get the wings right. I will keep on trying for next year.
