WOYWW 202

Shock horror!!! Yes it's me again and I'm back with a vengeance.
I've been missing in action due to a whole lot of stuff going on in my life.... as it does.... but I've never missed so many weeks of WOYWW ever, ever, ever. I've not joined in since week 197 in fact! I've popped in out and left the odd comment in between all my travels and visits but it wouldn't have been fair to post and not be able to reply to responses, so I opted out for a while.

I've been to Brighton, and to Germany, then the Brighton family wing visited us here, then we went to Holland for the big Art Specially show in Zeist. (look at the last but one post if you want to spy on the show). Amidst all this I had a nasty stomach bug thanks to the Brighton Belles sharing theirs and despite their lovely Mummy catching sick in her hands on the train (until kind passengers proffered poly bags) all the way from London to Brighton she, amazingly, escaped the dreaded lergy and I got it!
Glad to be back and missed you all! Our Boss Lady seems to be enjoying herself on hols but I'm sure she will sober up and put the G&T down for Mr Linky to set up this week's WOYWW!.....
Ducking and diving as I say it! Sorry Senora Julia!
Check out what it's all about on her blog...here at Stamping Ground
Now... what IS on my work desk this Wednesday?
In the wings are two nicec quirkily shaped, fabby wooden birdhouses I bought today in Poundland (other £ shops exist) and there they are poised ready to be altered.
Poundland also had quite a few crafty items in store including these micro beads... just like Accent beads but they were in the fingernails section, (wouldn't fancy these on my nails). These 12 small phials, for just £1, would be handy to provide a good range of colours and the little containers will be handy when empty.
Leading up nicely or nastily....warning... you may react badly to the following shock of a mess.......
To the dumping ground which has built up to mega mess proportions during all my "doing other things".
There's a huge pot of gouache tempura powder on the right which was reduced to 99p amidst all the guff I unpacked from my travels.
Now, dammit! I've got to tidy it all up for next week just to show you I can and to give myself a place to craft.
Have a good week and I hope the sun is shining where you are!

Happy WOYWW and welcome back. No sun here today - just cloud, rain and gales! Typical Pembrokeshire! My craft room away from the small clear area on my desk looks very similar to yours. As we will be moving in July, I am not wasting too much time tidying up. In fact, I will be starting to pack this week! Ali x #25

Hi there. How nice to have a look into your world this week. Yep, you have a job to do sorting all that lot, but your bird houses are great! Hope you have a good week to and manage a bit of crafting in between everything.

I'm trying to keep busy this morning as Shell had to rush Sam to hospital this morning and I'm feeling like a fish out of water here waiting for news :-(

Hi there and good to see you back. Also glad you feeling better. I was not on last week as went Spain with my youngest son and family for a much needed break. Enjoyed fab weather - sunshine!!! Had almost forgotten what it was like. Just looked back through your posts- seemed to have missed a lot ( life and being away) the Craft Show looked amazing as did the village you visited. I can swim but I don't think I would have been happy on the boat :-) As usual some lovely work to inspire us. Happy WOYWW Anne x #62

Hi Jo, nice to see you back. I shall be off to poundland too- love those little micro beads for putting in the centre of flowers. I shall get round to making my bag soon(!), but had a difficult couple of weeks- Silvercrafter's( Maggie) husband died suddenly just over a week ago. (She is my co- mom in law, our children are married),so things have been a bit frazzled. Your holiday pics are lovely- it looks such a charming, peaceful place to visit. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #70 xx

Glad you are better now.
Not sure I could have beads on my nails... think the urge to ping them off one by one would be too strong!!

Crikey, lots of bargains there Jo. Don't know how you do it but you have a nose for a bargain. Love the little bird houses especially, look forward to seeing how you decorate them. I still have mine that I made in clay, remember?
Sadly no, the clay is not for you, my next workshop you are attending is metal and is the day after getting back from a week of intensive crafting so I will be shattered.Hope all is well in your busy corner of the world.

Helloooo Jo! Great to see your (ahem) desk this week :) Bit of a messy pup, nein?

Thank you for your sweet comment today - even though I'm not playing 'cos of lack of time to comment on others. But, I wasn't gonna miss this!

Great piccies of your trip to the Netherlands too.

Happy WOYWW, hugs, Di xx

Welcome back, it was lovely reading about your travels, but how horrific for the little ones and you with the lurgy.

I was in poundland the other day and missed those nail beads (I would have bought them for the containers alone!!)....a trip back to town this weekend I think!

Hi Jo,

Tee hee. I know what you mean about tidying up. I'm STILL trying to sell my place and had an Open House on Sunday which meant everything was put away. I'm so organized that I can't find some things now.... also, this is why my desk is so tidy this week. I've taken out what I need for a simple ATC!

Welcome back!!

Happy WOYWW

I have been MIA too for the same reason, life seems to get in the way of living don't you think? Glad to hear you are feeling better.
My desk looks like a war zone at the moment, but I am not cleaning, I am having way too much fun.
Those birdhouses are looking good.
Happy WOYWW!

Well, I think we can forgive you the mess this week given that you’ve been all over the place and not well into the bargain.
I’m sure that you’ll get it all sorted out and be back in the thick of it no time especially with those lovely bird boxes to alter. I never anything like that when I go into poundland. They didn’t even have the padded envelopes that I usually buy when went in the last time.

Nice to have you back at last.
Thanks for stopping by this week and
Happy Crafting!
