Friday Smiles from Germany!

I'm just back home from a lovely trip to see my family in Germany and whilst I miss them already I am smiling whilst thinking of all the lovely, simple things we did together and so I'm adding some of my memories for

I'll draw the winner of my blog candy over the weekend (check my previous post) so there's still time to make a guess and have a chance to win a hand made gift from me!

Here's a picture tour of a few of the things I enjoyed.

We saw the brand new tour carriage in town with two beautiful, shiny, black horses....
We went to the animal farm with carrots for the deers....
Walked through the gardens of the Rathaus past the tulips and Forget Me Nots
Blew lots of "Bloomsies", Dandelion Clocks.
I enjoyed lots of cuddles and fun with this gorgeous little man...
and sat in the warm sunshine for ice cream.....
Had fun at the fair....
with a giant candy floss
Visited a super patchwork & quilting exhibition..... (how lucky it coincided with my visit).
Cosied up with Barnaby .... ( bragging, I know, but I'm proud that I made all those crocheted blankets).
and to end with a grin for the Friday Smile........we spotted these doorbells in the old town! Oooh, er missus, how do you fancy ringing there?!!!!
Twiglet reckons they are 34DD and I must add the comment from LLJ......
" as Leslie Phillips would say ... "Ding, Dong"!!!! "

Pop over to Annie's for more smiles to brighten your weekend.
You could even add your own smile to share.

I love it when you give us the low down on your family globe trotting, Jo! How I wish mine were as close as Germany, but I bet even so it is a pang to leave them - especially the Littlies.

And I LOVE those doorbells! Yes, Lesley Phillips, I can hear him now, and Sid Jame's evil laugh! Lxx

You also need to imagine Leslie Phillips doing that dirty laugh of his! Love them :)
What a wonderful time you all had and beautiful grandchildren and the cat looks super too!!

Why am I not surprised you spotted these, let alone photographed them! Haa Haa!
Great photos. I hope you saved me some candy floss!
Lucky you to to get to a quilt show whilst you are there. I am hoping to go to Boston in September and a birdie tells me there is a big quilt show whilst we are hoping to be there! As if I am going to miss that opportunity!

That was a cheeky last post that I didn't see coming!
I love all the others too. It is the simple things we do with our families that make those holidays so special. I am off to UK on Monday for my grand-daughter's wedding, so happy family times for me too. Kate x
