My Wish for You for 2010
May there always be work for your hands to do,
May your purse always hold a coin or two,
May the sun always shine on your window pane,
May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain,
May the hand of a friend always be near you,
May your heart be filled with love to cheer you.
Happy New Year
( Later addition... Cath tells me that this bird is a fieldfare)
Especially for Cath!
We were so pleased, this morning, to see this lovely Jay on our apple tree pecking away on the few old apples I left on especially for the birds. It is a couple of years since we've spotted a Jay in our garden. Not an excellent photo but I had to take it through the window so I didn't disturb him.
LOL, Jo - just spotted him but I wouldn't have thought he was a jay! They must have different coats in Winter. Lovely treat, though. We went to Mere Sands and but the whole of the lake is frozen - hope those kingfishers don't die but there isn't much hope for them when there's no water... lots of lovely long tailed tits, nuthatches and all the other usual suspects but very few water birds, for obvious reasons. The good news is the red squirrels are back but we didn't see any today - will be back to check them out! Happy New Year to you. Hope it's filled with joy, love, peace and creativity :)
