Japan Day-Lots of pics!

We had such a good day today in the Midland Hotel at Japan Day. Lots to see and we were lucky being vendors as we managed to browse around the show before the public arrived. Unfortunately there were problems with long queues for people waiting to get in and it became really busy and over congested in no time. When it was held in Liverpool 2 years ago it was in far more spacious premises in the university. Anyhow, here is just a taster of the day.....
This silk embroidery was exquisite
The drummers really made a vibrant atmosphere
Such long bows and an unusual style of archery
Beautiful rolls of silk kimono fabrics.
Samurai Helmets
Bonsai
Pottery
Washi papers at good prices
I was looking forward to trying some Sushi but had no time... he hadn't even started making it when I took the photo.
Below with Caz of stampattack on the left with me. The stand was far smaller than usual as it could obviously only sell Japanese themed items so, amongst the range, the new plates of Japanese Ums were launched today and proved very popular. It was so busy all day and I did "Make & Take" fans, lots and lots of them!! May I never see another fan for a long time! Liverpool Lou and Lizzybobs, two lovely blogging buddies from WOYWW, came to see us armed with lovely gifts and ended up helping to cut out fans when we ran out of prepped ones. Great to see them both but they certainly didn't know they'd end up working today. Thanks so much girls, you're stars! It was also good to have visits from some of KCUK and Vicky Stampers friends. Shame we didn't have more time to chat to everyone but it was manic!
Liverpool Lou made me this lovely cooky bird, below, with hand stitched beads and feathers and Lizzy Bobs made the really useful fab post it notes hanger.Love them both! A big thanks to each of you kind folks and it was so lovely to meet up with everyone.
I'm shattered now and off for a Chinese, not Japanese, supper and a collapse in front of the TV!

  2. It was a great event. I am so pleased I made the trip although it took an age to get in, as the queue was so long, - I got some lovely papers and bits and pieces from your table. The whole day was a real eye opener with some lovely things to make and take and some yummy things to eat. Thank you Jo for the Mizuhiki Knots and to Liverpool Lou for the Button Fairy ((HUGS)) Liz

I love the gifts the girls took you! That was so special, and then they helped out! Who but a fellow stamper would do that!

I imagine you will be tired for a couple of days! So glad the new line went so well!
