WOYWW 136 & Angelina Ballerina

All 4 of my my Blog Candy prizes have been claimed and were posted off yesterday, to Elizabeth and Shozzy in Scotland, Rosalee in Canada and one to the Midlands of England to Crafty Womble... Congratulations and I hope the winners enjoy their gifts.
WOYWW 136?? Yes REALLY! Say no more!
Here's evidence of what's on my various work areas this week as my main desk is piled high with so much stash MESS. (Prepare for the shock exposure near the end of my post)
I've decamped to the spare bedroom to sew Angelina Ballerina's tutu.
I'll make two, one for a tiny Brighton Belle and one for my little German Gem, two of my grandees who both adore Angelina.
Angelina looks so funny before she is stuffed!
Here, wearing her tutu, awaiting the important finishing touch of a face!
I really never thought that in my life I would ever knit thumbs for mice and I've still got two long skinny tails to knit!!!!!

My friend was going to throw out this little retro Colour TV, but I fell in love with it, and it is now rescued and in my craft room. It has a perfect picture and is so very cute. Thanks Viv!
My travel journal case from Vicky Stampers Saturday's workshop is still awaiting it's final touches. I covered it with pages from an old Atlas.
This great storage carousel, below, with 24 pull out containers, was in the Hobbycraft sale... originally around £20, it was a snip at only £3 to me! They may still have some in stores around the country but the Warrington branch has sold out.
I'm hoping it may just help get all my tiny beads organised.
You've seen the organised tidy side of life.....well, here's what you really came to snoop on... it's own up time to my real mess which is waiting for the big clear up, hopefully tomorrow. No space there in which to create and Nathalie's Creative Jump Start is really getting my mojo active. Check it out as it could be just what you need to get you creative for 2012.
Lots more desks to spy on over at The Queen of WOYWWers blog, that's Julia's over at Stamping Ground. Join us and make it your guilty passion, just for fun!

  8. I think we all look slightly odd before we're stuffed!! Lol! And some of us are definitely more padded than others :) Mouse thumbs, eh?? You read about all sorts on WOYWW but that has to be one of the more interesting entries!! Angelina is going to be gorgeous...
Way to go with your bargain carousel :)

  11. I am waiting excitedly for my pendant......Are those bags on your table empty (if so I suggest the sweep into the bag and sort later - probably when you can't find something technique!).

Mice with thumbs and tutus (looks weird with the s but spell checker says ok.....) what will they think of next. Funnily enough with a boy in the house it is not on the need to watch list. Current favourites are Charlie and Lola and Cars 2........

I shall seek advice when needed. I am planning to save up for a Janome CXL301 but who knows if I like the ole Riccar enough I may end up diverting to a felting machine they look fun! I really am a beginner with sewing machines and the past experiences were brief but I am determined to persevere this time round.

Have a lovely week hugs Wend x

  12. Wow to the Angelina Ballerinas!!!! No end to your talents. Your grandees are going to be bowled over by them :) And Tut tut...your lovely new table Jo!!!!! All covered in stash :( It reminds me of a certain fellow I live with, who makes it impossible to eat off our dining table. Whenever I clear a space, within minutes I find something has been dumped on it haha. Pxx

  13. Love that new TV. It couldn't be THAT old if it has a remote. But it sure looks retro. Gotta love the stuffed toys, too. Sorry, I have no idea who it is, but I bet your grandees do! Happy WOYWW (#3).

  28. Your Grandees will adore their Angelinas Jo, what little girl wouldn't. The 'empty' one looks like a spare pair of Angelina's tights, maybe in case she dances holes in the other ones. Great idea to use old atlas pages for the case, looking forward to seeing it next meeting.

Can I ask a question please? You have a cinch. Are they the same wires as a BIA? They look pretty similar but I haven't seen them in the flesh so to speak!

  53. Hi! Its my first time on your site. I came here via a link about your Tim Holtz Dress Forms/ leather tech's( awesome) I'm from the US ( Carriere, MS). I applaud your guts in taking on a craft room that looks very familiar to mine, and even more so to post pic's! I love your mice ballerina's! I want to learn to knit and sew but dont know where to begin learning. There are no classes for Anything Here( in my town). If you know of any online sites for beginner knitter's or sewers, do share! Congrats to your redo on your crafting area! Color me inspired! Greetings from the US!

    1. Thanks Phleurdille for your visit and comment.
To see more desks in a mess pop in each Wednesday to WOYWW (What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday) a real fun blog hop. To learn to knit and crochet, why not try YouTube where you'll find lots of video tutorials to walk you through.
