WOYWW 150 from Cromer

WOYWW 150
On holiday in Cromer, Norfolk and my limited workdesk is either the dining table of the apartment or the front passenger seat of the car where I'm making headway with Afghan No2 (34 squares completed) as we tour around this lovely area. It's raining a lot, just my luck, so hence the opportunity to crochet.
That's the latest Mollie Makes magazine in my basket... still to be read.
Right now I'm in the Saffron Tea shop of a craft centre (stamping stuff here too, yeah!) taking advantage of free internet access but probably won't be able to desk hop until after we return home on Thursday as I may not have internet in the Country Club where we are staying.
BTW... a big thanks to Neet for linking me this week.
I'm sure everyone must be sick of seeing my Afghan throw but I brought it with me to crochet 3 rows around the edge and I'm so thrilled that I completed it in the evenings. Now it is totally finished and whilst the edge rows were tedious they really give it a lovely quality edge. 
I'm sooooo glad that Elizabeth has started one too....pop over to read all about it here and the fun award she sent to me! I look forward to seeing it progress, Elizabeth!
This is the dining table of our holiday apartment with my lovely blanket and the little bag of art supplies I brought along with my art note book where I'm doodling some ideas for inspiration.
Love the windmills in this area and especially this one below. It is now someone's home but DH thought it was a visitor attraction and drove right down their drive.... oops! Sorry Mrs!

    Loved Cromer and Wells by the Sea! I to the UK about every other year until 2004 and haven't been back since...I need to save up some pennies and book a flight. I miss it. Were there any pier shows going on? Lovely place! I am so green with envy right now!

    Love your crochet piece! I have just taught myself the basics...have mastered a small throw and it's basically just a giant 'granny square'! I'm really pleased with it because it's my first attempt!

    Cromer! A lovely place, have you had any crab yet, or is it out of season? We were in Norfolk last June (going again in September) but I didn't find any craft shops - details please.
    Enjoy your holiday and if you fancy a nice walk then Sherringham Woods is a great place.

    What a shame the weather hasn't been better for your break, Jo. It's been miserable and cold here too but not so bad when you are at home. Norfolk is beautiful especially in the sunshine. Still you sound like you are making the most of it. That blanket is amazing, it's grown huge since I last saw it.
    So sorry to hear you were all poorly while your Brighton Belles were with you. I hope you are all much better now.

    Can you imagine them panicking and turning off the lights and lying on the floor to avoid strange visitors? HOw funny! Lovely photos.The blankie is just gorgeous...and so is the rear view of your DH!!

    I am a nightmare when I go upto our caravan, its takes me two minutes to pack clothes and necessaries and an hour to decide what to take with me craft wise.
    If you like crochet Google Teeny Weeny Design and Crochetime. Both girls do fabulous work. If you have a look through my blog you will spot some pieces I have bought from them.

    Hello Jo, Cromer sounds like a lovely place to be even if the weather isn't so good ... love the windmill. I do believe that we have a search and find system in-built that leads us to all craft shops no matter what area we holiday in ... that one has the added bonus of having a tea shop too.     I can't spy the latest Mollie Makes .... but, I know that my friend Gretel ...who does fabulous needle felting is on the cover ... well, her little doglets are anyway! I must find one here in Canada... because I want to try making one of her little doggies. How I wish I lived close enough to do a class with her.

    I love your blanket - don't apologise for repeated showings, it's fab to see it evolve. Especially as I'm a non-crocheter. I'm always impressed by others who do it so beautifully! We're going over to east Anglia for our hols in July - I must remember not to drive up to that windmill, lol!!

    Love the blanket and I don't mind how many times I look at folks creations. My friend and her DH went into someones house in France - they thought it was a shop!!!!!
    I long for a holiday especially if I can craft and read a bit with no disturbance. DH and I are working on it. Anne x

    I used to crochet with my grandmother. We'd take plastic lids, cut stars, circles, candy canes, and what nots - and then we made Christmas ornaments from them. I remember selling them to my school teachers one year just so I could buy presents for my family. :)

    I love Norfolk - we stayed at Cley. Hope the sun shines for you. I think Molly Makes is improving as they go along. I love the little doglets by Gretel Parker - she has written and illustrated some lovely children's books with her little felted animals etc "Middle of Nowhere" blog if you are interested.     Lovely lovely Norfolk! Thanks for sharing the photos. We can never see enough of that fabby Afghan - the colours are good enough to eat. It's great to have crafty things we can do when away from our regular creative space, isn't it.

I so agree with your sentiment about the gift I received - I have often said that it is harder to receive than to give (which people usually disagree with!) but when you think about it, we all love to give, but find all sorts of excuses not to receive lol!!
