WOYWW 152

I cleared my desk so there would be enough workspace for two as Carol of Stampattack intended to visit today for a workshop to plan and make samples for the forthcoming Port Sunlight Show. Carol will be exhibiting and I'll be demming for her on Saturday, May 12th. If you intend to go to this great stamping show I do hope you have your ticket or you won't get in!
Sadly Carol was yucky after catching a tummy bug from her GD so had to cancel today. Get well soon Carol!
The desk did not stay clear for long as I decided to press on alone with a few experiments and ideas and not waste the time or space! It soon got messy!
Busy week for me as Wednesday I'll be joining some WOYWWers in Manchester for a meet up, lunch, a mooch around the galleries of the Northern Quarter, a visit to Fred Aldous Craft Store and maybe even to Affleck's Palace. There'll be a couple of surprise WOYWW visitors to make the day fun but you'll have to wait to find out who turns up. It's exciting!
WOYWW?? Yes it's Wednesday so it's
 What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday
when our headmistress Julia of stamping ground gets us to show and tell about our workspaces and crafters from all over the world join in and many more just pop in for a nosey. Join in or just take a snoop.... it's amazing!

  6. I'm coming, but then I'm not one of the surprises. Have also thought about Abakhan Fabrics, it's up on Oldham Street. Just have to figure out how we can squash it all in an afternoon.

  7. Can't wait to meet up with you and Ann and our mystery lady. Will you ever forgive me for not revealing who?
You've missed Abakhan out on the list - very important for me as Ann pointed out.
Ha ha, I know what you're making.

  10. Loved the cards (projects) you made for DD to spread love with, the tag book for the birthday is a lovely idea. And the pics of Chester are great - I wonder if they're planning something as wonderful to commemorate this Queen's Diamond Jubilee. Am excited for you today, a good get together with fellow crafters is always a great tonic..and am intrigued by the mystery guests!!

  28. Hope you all have a fun day together. Spying your "cutter" to the right. Just saw one last Saturday at my card class and one is on order for me. I am tired of the ones that need to have blades replaced and never seem to cut straight. Loved the tag book. #139

  32. Hi Jo, have only just seen your comment about meeting up in Manchester, pity I would've loved to join you. Sounds like a great day in the planning reading here. Also decided not to go to Port Sunlight as I spent enough at the NEC a few weeks ago and then with going to the Liverpool show I thought it prudent not to put myself in the way of temptation lol. But if I'd known you'd be there I would've come especially as my friend Pat is going. I was just wondering the other day whether you still worked with Carol. I think I did have your email addy when I used Incredimail, I didn't transfer all the addresses when I stopped using it but did print them all out are you Jo Ma? it seems to ring a bell. Have fun at the show. I'll tell Pat to look out for you.

  34. saw that cleared off table and thought something horrible had happened...robbed or sick or something...I am thinking about planning a trip to visit a friend in Liverpool next year...may have to organize a visit with the WOYWWer's in the area. Wouldn't that be a hoot! Gonna give it some thought! Have a great week. Vickie

  35. Oh, Vickie that would be marvellous to have a WOYWW meet up in Liverpool! You've just got to do it... just set a day or two by for it. How exciting.
It was a wonderful day on Wednesday with 5 of us and we'll be doing a special post soon but have to hang on a while before posting. Can't begin to tell you of the fun we had... it was so special.

  38. Ahh, a messy worktable! As my French husband says: 'you can't make omelettes without breaking eggs'. He's right!

Things sound busy in the best sort of way for you and I'm jolly happy about that.

Have a great time in Manchester.

  39. Hi Jo!
Thanks for visiting me! And double thank you for noticing my Hello Kitty's peeking in on my desk!! I am going to tell that to everyone on my post for WOYWW 5/8/12!!! You are awesome!! I love your blog, and I am new to this party (only 3 weeks) so I may not know the people you are meeting with, but I can't wait to find out who you meet with!
    "see" you tomorrow!!
