Friday Smile

I spotted this on a quilting blog and it gave me a chuckle.....just in time for Annie's Friday Smile
but this is my real reason for smiling this week....
I'm so flushed to tell you that the orange pipe will soon be attached to my new downstairs loo, which is being installed right now!
I never thought I could be so excited about a lavatory.

Here's an extra smile for Bleubeard and Elizabeth!!!
Have a great weekend.
I'm probably spending it cleaning up but this is one time that I don't mind in the least.
First I'm just off to check out a few more smiles
over at Annie's blog..... why not join in?

  5. Hi Jo, you succeeded in getting a few giggles out of me this time! First the analogy of quilters was a hoot and then the extra smile of the cat was just a riot. He totally has "crazy eyes!" Happy Friday!

  7. I thought this was quite apropos, since quilters, whether we are real or just play at it, can certainly understand. I remember the first time I went to a REAL fabric store, not a big box store that sells fabrics and other supplies, I was shocked by how expensive fabric was. I remember later telling a friend that I remember when I was young my Grandmother sewed to save money on my clothes, and I had more outfits than many of the really rich girls. Now the fabric, pattern, thread, etc needed to sew clothes costs more than purchasing ready made outfits.

Bleubeard is saying he not only joins in the craziness, he really enjoys it, too. And of course, he got a BIG head because you thought of him. Now he's smiling bigger than the cat in the picture!

    Happy Friday and happy D-Day.

  13. I find it is easier and cheaper to purchase the clothes I want. I don't sew but wished I could sometimes but then I see the prices of things and then think again. I think I will just stick to paper crafts and enjoy everyone else s sewing. I do love that green monster smiling.
