Magic Mildred Tag No 1

On a visit to Ikea I found some cheap Christmas decorations that were just waiting to be altered. They certainly wouldn't look very attractive as they are in the packet so I have decided to make them all into an Advent Calendar. I'm trying as always, to motivate myself into a bit of Christmas cheer so here's my first offering......Tag No 1
Is she a Queen or an Angel or a Fairy Godmother? I don't know but to me she's Magic Mildred!!!

This is what I bought for 99p in IKEA... well I did have to splash out and buy 2 packets to get 24 tags.
They don't take gesso very well or even acrylic paint as a base, so I coloured and stamped some card then stuck it onto the first tag. I used golden acrylic paint on the Grungeboard crown and wings and textured them by pressing the paint into sequin waste. A few sequin stars and a dusting of gold holographic glitter gave a sparkly lift to our new arrival.....Magic Mildred.
Watch this space for the rest of her gang!

  3. Magic she certainly is Jo, fabby ;-) I do quite like the Santas though. I got some cheap tags at the Range a couple of weeks ago but am going to give them to DD when she's making Christmas cards with the kids she looks after, as the are suitable for toppers.
Hope you had fun yesterday :-)
