WOYWW 182 with Gorgeous Gloria

Join us on our weekly jaunt around the work desks of the Universe and nosey at all we have been up to, where we craft, all the mess we've made and even take the chance to hop on board the fun train and show us yours.
Julia of stamping-ground is the driver, station master and chief controller of this wonderful world wide tour.
I'm back on the floor again for WOYWW this week, as I've been die cutting scores of gingerbread men for DD1 to make into bunting as an extra for her forthcoming craft shows.
It's far to cold to be in my workroom so I decamped to warmer climes.
I didn't think I'd be here to show my work desk this week but I don't fly off to Germany until this afternoon so, as you can guess, this is prepped the night before. I'll have my ipad with me so I may even be able to hop around for a nosey later.
Aren't they sweet!

DD1 also thought it might be a good idea to make this Pirate, Jolly Roger style, bunting too so I'm just experimenting here making a few prototypes for her approval.

Angel Update
Gorgeous Gloria fluttered through my letterbox .....and she's causing trouble already... See! I just caught her getting stuck into my cakes. We had visited our favourite Chantilly Cafe & Patisserie (which I blogged about a while ago) for lunch as a treat for DH before I leave him home alone whilst I'm off enjoying myself. Lunch of ham and chicken pie, with salad for me plus chips for DH, was just so delish and filling that we couldn't manage dessert, so we bought some to bring home and that there Gloria thought she's get in  first! It must be the influence of her previous home and maker...... I'll split... she came from LLJ via her fabric frenzy emporium, who told me that she's looks like she's already been around quite a bit as she has a "knowing face". For an angel, I think she's so beautifully dressed and quite a sophisticated dish, ....knowing face and cake robber or not! She has gone to join the chorus of angels I posted on Friday.
Thanks so much Jan for adding to my Heavenly Host.

The lemon cheesecake was my indulgence and the Bakewell Tart was devoured by DH. Kissed by an angel!
My previous post has the templates and info for the chocolate wraps so don't miss it if you requested it from me.

Morning Jo. Hope you have a special and precious time in Germany and I look forward to the catch up when you return. My daughter would enjoy the pirate bunting, is it a sizzix die, I've not seen it before.

I have decamped to warmer climes too. Far to chilly upstairs during the day now!!!

Cakes look fab no wonder she is being less than angelic! Like idea of gingerbread man bunting, very cute. I think I like the pirate bunting with the wobbly sided triangles best.

Hello Jo,
Have a great trip to Germany. Love the gingerbread man die and the many variations of the little fellows. Also like your persian rug :-)
You describe LLJ's angel very well indeed, and now I'm tucking into the cheese cake. A nice little morsel for supper.

Everything looks wonder, but how on earth do you play in the floor? I can still get down; just not quite so easy to get up any more!

I wondered what on earth those brown things were on your trimmer cause they're certainly not gingerbread men, but now I see they're either pirate bits or off-cuts of pirates! Took me ages to work that out! Love the chocolate wrappers in the previous post and especially love all those angels, they're all so brilliant but all so different. Have a great time in Germany, looking forward to the photos, hope the weather is good.

Oh My! I'll fight both of you for the desserts, lol. Lemon Cheesecake- my absolute favourite- as long as its proper lemony- I hate buying something lemon and finding they've added so much sugar to sweeten it it ruins it for me. Lemons are supposed to bite you back, don't they know that? Angels are coming along nicely, Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #98

Love the skull and crossbone bunting - which die is it, I think I'm going to need it when Lil Miss B sees it.... LOL....

Angels are definitely in progress, so hopefully they'll be winging their way to you and the other recipient before next Thursday!

Thanks for stopping by.

Hi Jo

Thank you so much for the warning about long queues to get through security at the airport due to no use of scanners. EU gone mad as usual! I always get stopped anyhow due to being a Metal Mickey (replacement hip as well as screws in an ankle). Squeak, squeak :)

Sometimes it would be easier just to hop onto the flipping scanner and go through the machine with the hand luggage.

Hope you left some gluhwein there in Germany and are having a really great time. I thought you knew that we have two little grand daughters in Germany, can't wait to see them - it's much too far away, sigh.

Hugs, Di xx
